What is Mayer CAST?
Mayer CAST (Community Arts/Summer Theatre) is a Christian, faith-based non-profit community arts organization based out of Mayer Lutheran High School, in Mayer, Minnesota.

The summer 2010 production is

Anything-Goes_type_preserver

Come aboard the S.S. American as it sails from New York to England and enjoy the madcap antics of an unusual group of passengers, which include a gangster (Moonface Martin), a wealthy debutante and her mother (Hope and Evangeline Harcourt), a nightclub singer (Reno Sweeny), and a wealthy New York businessman and his stowaway assistant (Elisha Whitney and Billy Crocker).

It turns out that Hope is Billy's long-lost love. Unfortunately, she is now engaged to a wealthy Englishman, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Will Billy win Hope back with the help of Reno and Moonface? Let's just say true love triumphs in the end.
Anything Goes includes the Cole Porter hits You're the Top, I Get a Kick Out of You, and of course, Anything Goes.

Auditions will be held Friday, June 4 from 7-9 PM and Saturday, June 5 from 9 AM to noon at the MLHS Fine Arts Auditorium. Auditions are open to high school grads and older. If you’re a high school student or younger, you still have the opportunity to participate in the show if your mom or dad also participates. Auditions will include readings from the script, singing and some basic dance movement, so please dress appropriately. If you’d like to sign up for an audition time, please email info@MayerCAST.org.
